Jesień jest dla mnie takim czasem, który jak mało która pora roku kojarzy mi się z twórczością zespołu Arctic Monkeys. We wrześniu 2013 roku brytyjska grupa dowodzona przez Alexa Turnera wydała swój świetnie przyjęty album „AM”. Warto go powspominać.
Najbardziej dziś znanym momentem wydawnictwa była kompozycja „Do I Wanna Know?”. Piosenka ukazała się na singlu w wakacje w 2013 roku. I szybko stała się indie rockowym hitem. Pomógł w tym uwielbiany przeze mnie klaskany rytm i pogrywająca w tle elektryczna gitara. Uwodzi także bardzo spokojny wokal Alexa, który kontrastuje z samym tekstem utworu, gdyż mamy tu do czynienia z człowiekiem ogarniętym obsesją na punkcie pewnej kobiety.
„Do I Wanna Know?” dotarła do 1 miejsca na amerykańskiej liście US Alternative Songs. Była także 11. w Wielkiej Brytanii. W 2015 roku kompozycja miała szansę na bycie nagrodzoną statuetką Grammy w kategorii „Best Rock Performance”. Arctic Monkeys przegrali wówczas z „Lazaretto” Jacka White’a.
